Description
LGB32 Rail – (Carriers ordered separately)
The LGB range of rails are lightweight and compact in size, designed to fit in small space envelopes. Manufactured with a solid aluminium body, there are chrome plated steel shafts inserted with excellent abrasive qualities hardened to 60 HRC. The rails are supplied hard anodised with counter-bored fixing holes ready to use.
The compact carriers run within the shafts are quiet and smooth running with the ability to adjust the pre-load via eccentric sealed bearings. The carriers are interchangeable and the rails can be connected to provide any required length. Load ratings are per carrier and loading can be increased by adding additional carriers. The bearings are sealed against contamination. There is an optional carrier which has wipers front and rear to eliminate dirt ingress. This is also supplied with pads and thru-life lubrication port.
Especially suited to machine guarding where a hardened raceway extends the lifetime of the guard substantially beyond standard steel. However costing very little in comparison. Withstands temperatures up to 80°C.
The LGB32 Rail has a height of 32mm and a width of 17mm. With a carriage installed the overall width is 28.8mm. The LGB32 Carrier has an individual load capacity of Fy 330N and Fz 1000N. Rails are available cut to size, ex stock to 3000mm.
The LGB32 Rail is available ex stock. LGB32 Carriers are ordered separately and are delivered factory fitted. We have a complete range of LGA and LGB Rails & Carriers in stock for immediate despatch. We aim to ship for a next day delivery.

Delivered quickly.
For my application it is fine. The rail and bearing arrangement takes up much less space than most linear rails.
Important to adjust the eccentrics carefully; too tight and the slide is a bit notchy (they were suppied like this), too loose and there will be play. You need a box spanner to be able to hold the shafts with an Allan key while you tighten the nuts. The distance between the round rails varies a little so the slide can be freer in some places than others.
The hex holes in the eccentric shaft are a loose fit on my Alan keys so I wonder if they are imperial, but the nuts are 10 mm.
Overall I think the slide is good value but my concerns are the ease with which the bearings become notchy and the size of the hex holes in the shaft which means an Alan key could get jammed or slip round when you tighten.

The hardened shafts provide an accurate fit with the carrier bearings, which are adjustable to tolerance. We had been looking at a much more expensive system which performed exactly the same way. Also looked at recirculating bearings in a block which had a very high noise factor in the cabinet.
Very pleased with what was delivered on a 24 hour service

Way cheaper than other similar rails on the market. We can’t get these in the US. Shipped in 4 days. Not local dealer but not a major problem
